How do sunshades really hold up in the heat?

When I was considering the sunshade, I wasn’t sure if it was just a gimmick or if it would really make a difference. My main concern was the cabin temperature especially in the summer when things can get sweltering. I imagined those brutal days where the sun feels like it’s baking you from above, and I didn’t want the top of my head cooking under the glass.

When I finally tried it, I found the sunshade was actually easy to install and remove. It didn’t take much time at all, and once I got the hang of it, I could pop it in or out pretty quickly. As for storing it, it’s not bulky, so it tucks away in the trunk without taking up too much space.

One thing I was curious about was whether I could grab it later at the same price, just in case I wanted to try it out first. It turned out that, generally, you can buy it later, though prices can vary depending on the retailer or if there are any discounts around.

For anyone who’s used it in really hot climates, does it actually make a noticeable difference in cooling the cabin?

I live in a pretty hot area, and the sunshade has been a game changer for my Polestar. It won’t make it ice-cold inside, but it does block a good amount of the sun and keeps the cabin from feeling like it’s roasting. Also, it protects the interior from UV damage, so that’s a plus. I’d say if you’re on the fence, go for it, it’s convenient to pop in and out, and the cooling effect is noticeable enough to make it worthwhile on scorching days.

It’s good to hear the sunshade helps with both cooling and protecting the interior. I’m leaning toward using it more on those really hot days...
