My cousin recently bought a flood-damaged car in New Zealand. He initially planned to take the battery for a solar project and sell off parts but ended up falling in love with the car. After spending countless hours diagnosing issues, he discovered that water had damaged the VCU and keyless control modules. Now, he plans to strip the car down to sell parts at reasonable prices and keep the drive unit for a future EV conversion. It’s surprising how easy the car is to work on mechanically, yet the software access is so costly...
