Are the pixel LED headlights active in Canada or the US?

I’ve been wondering if anyone in Canada or the US has noticed whether the 1.3-megapixel pixel LED headlights on the Polestar are actually active yet?

From what I’ve heard, the hardware is already installed but hasn’t been “turned on” due to regulations. Seems strange to limit a safety feature like that, right?

If you’re driving one, how’s the headlight performance at night? Have you noticed any signs of the pixel tech working, or is it still just standard beams for now?

The hardware is all there, but U.S. and Canadian laws haven’t quite caught up yet to allow the adaptive pixel tech. It’s a bit odd considering they’re marketed as a safety feature elsewhere. From what I’ve seen, the standard beams still perform really well, but I’m hoping Polestar can flip the switch with an OTA update once regulations ease up.
