I am not sure if I was the last to discover this hidden control, or if others had no reason to use it. My wife and I deliver meals on wheels on Monday morning. In my PS2 it was easy to hit a button on the dash to open the trunk. I could find no such button on the PS3. I asked Google to help, she said she was unable to control that activity. I looked in the manual and it simply said to use the hands-free approach outside of the button below the bumper. delving further it said it can be controlled from the central screen. It gave no clue where to look. Trying all options, we chose the car symbol. There it is the open, or close trunk option. Then trying to use it was a bit frustrating. First attempt was to close the trunk, i tapped the control and the car responded with a pop-up message to hold the button down until the trunk started to close. Eventually that did work. Next stop, i held the open trunk for what seemed like forever until it opened. I thought that was too odd to be the case. I then discovered, by accident, that if you tap the part of the button just below the word trunk, the gate opened quickly, as it did to close the trunk. The PS2 did not have closure from the inside, that I ever used anyway, so this is an improvement, although a well kept secret!
