Performance software upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the car's performance software? If yes, is it worth the money? Does it feel like any big difference?

Yup, I upgraded the performance software on my Polestar, and it was definitely worth it. The throttle response feels quicker, and there’s a noticeable boost in acceleration. It’s not a massive change, but you can feel the difference, especially when merging or passing..

I don't quite understand this. How could a software upgrade boost the acceleration? I mean, it is software, not hardware. Is there something I am missing?

I get why you're confused. Software isn't hardware, but an upgrade can still tweak how the car’s hardware works. For acceleration, the software can change things like throttle response, power delivery, or how the motor and battery work together.

My son paid for this feature four weeks ago, and it's still not working! We've tried calling support a few times, but they haven't been able to help. Looks like he's going to have to take his car in for service to get this fixed. Frustrating!
