Polestar Auto Close Not Working

The car is giving me its first trouble; it thinks the doors are open when they're already closed all the way. This means that the feature that closes the doors automatically when you walk away doesn't work, and the app also shows the doors as open.

Polestar Support got in touch with me, but they didn't have any answers right away. Not sure if this is a problem with the sensors or something else, but I'd like to know if anyone else has had this happen.

How did you fix it? Hopefully it's something easy like a sensor that needs to be replaced or re-calibrated. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Frustrating for such a sleek feature to not work. Did you do anything before that happened? I haven’t had this issue on my Polestar, but I’ve read that door sensors can sometimes get finicky if there’s dirt or debris near the contact points. Have you tried cleaning around the door seals and latches? Sometimes even a small obstruction can mess with the sensors. If it’s a calibration issue, the service center might be able to reset it quickly. Let us know what Polestar Support says, they’re usually pretty responsive once they dig into the issue!

You might want to try using the key fob to lock the car and see if the app still shows the doors as open. If the issue persists even with the fob, it could point to a sensor or software glitch. In this case, follow @Brian_Carter's advice.
