Polestar delivery disappointment car failure on day two

I was so excited to take delivery of my Polestar yesterday. The first 60 km were a dream, and I was looking forward to a 400 km business trip today. But things took a sharp turn.

When I approached the car this morning, the doors opened as usual, but the language on the center screen had mysteriously switched to German. After entering my PIN and fixing the language, I tried to set off but couldn’t. The HUD showed the speed limit and navigation arrow, but the steering column screen stayed black, and the car wouldn’t go into drive mode.

I tried rebooting and even called Polestar Connect, but nothing worked. Now I’m waiting for a tow truck and a replacement car. I’ve never had to cancel a meeting because of a car issue before, and it’s a pretty disheartening experience.

what could have gone wrong? how can I prevent this in the future?
 
That's frustrating! I haven't experienced those problems either. You might want to talk to your dealer and see what they think. They might be able to diagnose the issue. Also, have you checked for any software updates for your car? Sometimes that can help.
