PS3 paint quality compared to PS2

When I took delivery of my PS3, I couldn't help but compare the paint finish to that of my PS2. I noticed that the paint on the PS3 seemed a bit off, not as high-quality as the PS2's. I’ve seen similar comments in review videos and noticed it on showroom and test drive cars too. I’m guessing it might be due to the pre-production cars being painted outside the usual process. Just wondering if this issue has continued in the production models.

Hmmm the paint on the PS2 is terrible as well. Honestly, it's a total joke. It scratches so easily, it’s not even funny. No way it's better than the PS3’s paint quality.

I see your point! I guess it's all subjective, but I still feel the PS3’s finish seems off compared to the PS2.
